Thanks for sharing about Wayfair. It’s obvious that you have an intimate understanding for its keys to success thus far, and your recommendations make a lot of sense. I had no idea how far Wayfair has come ($3B valuation, $2B sales, etc.) since I first heard of the company only a few years ago. Your point about building a business around a product category that others had struggled with really resonates with me. I wonder if Wayfair’s ability to figure out managing inventory costs was enough to make it immune to any strategic mishaps. For example, if Wayfair had taken a different approach to brand awareness and customer segmentation, I wonder if it would have still been this successful.
